The Science Behind Binaural Beats for Public Speaking
The Neurobiology of Stage Fright
Public speaking anxiety activates the same neural circuits as physical danger. The amygdala, the brain's threat detection center, interprets social evaluation (being watched and judged) as a survival threat, triggering the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and flooding the body with cortisol and adrenaline.
